The iPhone 15 is preparing for a big update from the iPhone 14 along with its variation, the iPhone 15 Plus.

During Apple’s “Wanderlust” event on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, preorders should begin on Friday, September 15, and the new models should go on sale officially on Friday, September 22.

One of the most significant changes in the iPhone 15 series is the conversion from a Lightning port to a USB-C port, a first for all iPhone models.


This change comes along with the transition from the notch to the Dynamic Island, a feature introduced for the first time with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Additionally, the iPhone 15 series will significantly advance camera technology. The primary camera will receive a 48-megapixel sensor update, which is a significant improvement above the 12MP sensor utilized in earlier generations. Users should be able to capture Pro RAW files with significantly higher quality thanks to this improvement, which is supposed to improve image detail. The Pro models will also feature a third camera, a zoom lens, with the iPhone 15 Pro Max boasting a brand new 5X or 6X periscope zoom camera.

These include thinner, more curved bezels, a titanium chassis replacing stainless steel, and an “Action” button taking the place of the mute switch. As for the internal specifications, the iPhone 15 series will be powered by the A16 Bionic chip and will offer a base storage of 128GB. The display will be a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 2352 x 1172 pixels resolution. 20 hours of movie playback and 80 hours of audio playback are anticipated from the battery life.
